Brahms Intermezzo op.117 no.2 in B flat minor

Don't know if Brahms meant this piece to be associated with a day in early fall but I think of it this time of year.  Wilhelm Kempff's recording of it is outstandingly beautiful.

    makes the self-evidently obvious point that the quality and quantity of the Beatles melodic songwriting is up there with Mozart and Schubert.

    He must be an idiot, of course.
